Equipment I can't do without

A client of mine asked me the other day, “Mandy, what’s the one piece of equipment that you can’t live without?”  Without hesitation, I said, “Well, it’s not one, it’s two.  My Bosu and my TRX.”  The conversation then led into what I think is so great about the Bosu and the TRX and why I have to have them.

LIVESTRONG CHALLENGE

This past weekend I participated in the Livestrong Challenge, Portland.  This event was larger than any other cancer event I have been a part of and it was amazing!  As a survivor, it is hard to go to events until you have come to terms with the word “survivor” and yourself.  Meaning, you know in your heart of hearts that you are a survivor and you don’t feel that the cancer can come back.

Eating late will make me fat…NOT!

I hear this “logic” more times than I can count from clients, people in a restaurant and other sources that are so absurd, but I am here to tell you that it is a myth, a fallacy, a lie, and just plain stupid.  The reasoning behind this is that people say, and by people I mean people who claim to have an extensive nutritional or fitness based knowledge but who are just following the myths that they were raised with, but these people say that it is harder for the body to process food while it is at rest then while it is awake and active.
